AD-BLOCKING is becoming ever more popular on personal computers. According to some estimates, in a few countries more than a third of internet users now have the necessary software installed in their browsers. But what has advertisers and publishers really worried is that ad-blocking could soon make a dent in the more rapidly growing market for ads on smartphones, which will reach $100 billion this year globally, according to eMarketer, a data provider.
Do not start a sentence with a coordinating conjunction. In the written language, do not use coordinating conjunctions such as "and,” "but," “so,” or “or” to start a sentence. Coordinating conjunctions are meant to join words, phrases, and clauses; a coordinating conjunction is left dangling without a role to play when it comes at the beginning of a sentence.
CMOS(The Chicago Manual of Style [芝加哥格式手册])、权威词典以及一些专业英文学习网站的说明。

“But may be used to begin a sentence at all levels of style.
And then I went to the park. And my friend Paul was there. But he had to go home for his tea.
And then I was lonely so I went for a walk. And then I found a toy someone had left behind.
①Squiggly turned in his application on time. But he forgot to include his application fee.
②Squiggly turned in his application on time, but he forgot to include his application fee.
③Squiggly turned in his application on time. However, he forgot to include his application fee.
“Still, not everybody loves initialbut. The authors ofKeys for Writers(2014) note that "some readers may raise an eyebrow when they seeandorbutstarting a sentence in anacademic paper, especially if it happens often." So if you don't want to see eyebrows raised, ration your use of these words at the beginnings of sentences. ”
